Disney filmed the opening to "Tuck Everlasting" in this extraordinary location. A journey to the hawksbill requires a six miles drive on a dirt road via county road 5. There are two access points from county road 5. Depending on weather and road conditions, it's reasonably accessible with almost any vehicle. The trailhead is clearly marked and provides ample parking. However, the lot can fill up quickly on the weekends, especially during the autumn season. Indeed, it's common for hundreds of people to visit during the fall.
