Description
An image of a fog-covered forest captured from Chimney Top Rock in the Red River Gorge deep in the Daniel Boone National Forest. Indeed, there's nothing quite like a foggy mountain top viewed from above. Regardless of the season, the gorge is a beautiful place to visit any time of year. The Red River Gorge is steeped in history and is undoubtedly one of the most remarkable places I've ever had the privilege of visiting. By the enchanting powers of nature, a hike in the gorge provides an extraordinary mind-healing therapy. Beginning at the parking lot on Chimney Top Rock Road, a short half-mile walk will take you to Chimney Rock Overlook. The trail is easily accessible to an average person in decent health. However, take caution due to the risk of falling off the narrow path and unprotected edges. The gorge offers boundless opportunities for adventure seekers, rock climbers, hikers, and photographers. Indeed, the Red River Gorge is a rare and unique place on earth! I always place a visit the gorge at the top of my list when near the area!
