Artist's Description

A fantastic view of Turner Falls captured on a beautiful summer morning in the Arbuckle Mountains. The 77-foot tall waterfall is the largest in Oklahoma and serves as a geological window into our past. In 1925, the city of Davis purchased the falls with over 300 acres from the Turner family. Today, this rare and unique playground is the oldest park in Oklahoma. In addition to swimming, the park offers a variety of activities including, hiking, picnicking, three natural caves, and even a rock castle to explore. Although the park is spectacular, it's incredibly crowded during the summer months, especially on the weekends. If you're contemplating a trip to the park, consider a weekday. In fact, I enjoyed having the falls all to my self on an early Monday morning.
