Description
An early morning image captured at the spillway on the Guadalupe River near Canyon Lake in the Texas Hill Country. Frequently visited in the summer, this area provides a shady retreat for swimming and fishing. The crystal clear water and beautiful scenery make this a genuine paradise on earth. This hidden gem is located just beyond the Canyon Hydroelectric Plant near the spillway.
Canyon Lake is known as "The Jewel" of the Texas Hill Country. It's an excellent place for a bit of relaxation in the great outdoors. Moreover, Canyon Lake is home to the White-tailed deer, roadrunners, and many other local inhabitants. The lake offers a variety of water sports and hiking trails. There are eight park areas for camping, swimming, boating, and fishing.
