Description
Through the eye of its massive arch, Double Arch offers an incredible view of the sunrise over the Daniel Boone National Forest. Sculpted by nature and located near Frenchburg Kentucky, this magnificent arch is only one of many spectacular arches in the Red River Gorge. Honestly, the Red River Gorge is one of the most remarkable places I've ever had the privilege of visiting. By the enchanting powers of nature, a hike in the gorge provides an extraordinary mind-healing therapy. Moreover, exploring this vast and majestic countryside is truly a journey through time itself. Trekking to the summit of Double Arch requires a modest hike of just over 2.5 miles. Although not the most challenging hike, depending on your fitness level, it can leave you a bit winded. The gorge offers boundless opportunities for adventure seekers, rock climbers, hikers, and photographers. Indeed, the Red River Gorge is a rare and unique place on earth! I plan to return at the first opportunity.
